Nestled in the mountains of Tibet, an oracle known as "The Golden Child" has been born. Although guarded by the monks who raised him, villainous Sardo Numspa is determined to use the child's mystical powers for evil purposes and hires bandits to kidnap him. Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, crafty self-styled detective Chandler Jarrell is approached by Kee Nang, a young woman the monks have sent to aid in their quest to recover the child.
